After removal of alpha hydrogen atom, conjugated base so obtained is resonance stabilised.

Hence alpha hydrogen atoms in aldehydes and ketones are acidic in nature. ..

. due to keto-enol tautomerism, alpha hydrogen migrates from alpha carbon to keto oxygen and returns back to carbon because it is not stable.
