Why aluminium does not react with foods inside aluminium pots? Give reason.

panwarpreet295: Aluminium is highly reactive metal. When aluminium is exposed to air it reacts with oxygen and forms a white thin layer of aluminium oxide on its surface. This layer forms protective coating onaluminium and prevents thereaction of aluminium with oxygen.

Hey mate
here is ur answer

•aluminium does not react with foods inside aluminium pots because
Aluminium will oxidize immediately when brought in contact with water or air. The formed aluminium oxide however, isn’t reactive.

•When an aluminium pot is produced, the surface is oxidized instantly, leaving a passive layer of aluminium oxide. This protects the rest of the aluminium in the pot from oxidizing and reacting with your food.
hope it helps !!!

Because a layer of Aluminium oxide is formed over the surface which prevents aluminium to react with food.

Hope it helps.
