Why an electric cell has a positive terminal and a negative terminal ?

Since the current is the flow of positive charge, the negative electrons flow in the opposite direction to this (conventional) current. Within the cell itself, the charge flows from the negative terminal to the positive terminal as it gains electrical energy.

An electric cell has a positive terminal and a negative terminal.

In any of the circuit, the current flows from the positive terminal to the negative terminal of the cell. But inside the cell, the current flows from the negative terminal of the cell to the positive terminal.

And we all know that the flow of the electron in the circuit or in the cell is just opposite to the direction of the flow of the current.

So the flow of the electron in the cell will be from positive to the negative terminal.

The electron flows from the positive that means it is losing electron so at this terminal we will get cation so this must be the POSITIVE terminal

And then it will go to the next terminal that means it will gain that electron so at this terminal we will get anion so this must be the NEGATIVE terminal
