Why aniline is less basic than methyl amine?

The lone pairs present on nitrogen in aniline is in conjugation with double bonds of benzene so they participate in Resonance that's why not easily available whereas in case of methyl amine the lone pairs are easily available. Hence methyl amine is more basic than aniline.
