Why any number multiplied by zero equals to zero while plus it's not zero...ex 1*0=0 while 1+0=1 why?

Its given by the scientist as Eg you multiply 7 by 0 is equal to 0 in better understanding 7*0=0 means 7 times 0, 0*0*0*0*0*0*0*0*0*= 0. as you multiply 0 by 0 it gives 0 so we multiply any number with 0 is equal to 0
