Answer:

when a substance is heated , it gains thermal energy. Therefore, its particles move faster and its temperature rises. When a substance is cooled, it loses thermal energy, which causes its particles to move more slowly and its temperature to drop.

Answer:

any substance changes into liquid with coming on to contact of heat because when heat is given to any substance the intermolecular force of the substance weakens so the particles of the substance are tightly packed ,on heating it weakens and the particles moves away from each other which causes solid to change in liquid. and if more heat os given the the force weakens a lot and the space between the particles increases a lot causing it to change into gaseous state.
