Aravalli hills are smaller in size than the Himalayan hills because of two reasons -   Aravallis are decreasing in height because of the erosion process taking place mera the mountains. The slopes of Aravallis hills are being eroded due to sheet erosion and till erosion.  Himalayan hills are not suffering from such types of erosion. That's why are greater in size than the Aravallis hills.
