Why are =1/4 and -1 zeroes of the polynomials p(x) = 4x2 + 3x – 1?​

Answer:

p(x)= 4x²+3x-1

a=4. b=3. c= -1

by splitting the middle term

sum(b)= 3

product (ac) = -4 (4× -1)

nos= -1 , 4

polynomial=

4x²+4x-x -1

4x (x+1) -1 (x+1)

(x+1)(4x-1)

x= -1, x=1/4

the shows that -1 and 1/4 are factors

hence prooved
