Why are A.C Generators preferred for producing electricity to supply our homes and not the D.C Generator ??

This Is because:
AC generators use step up transformers.
AC generators use parallel combination .
The parallel combiation helps to supply the same amount of current through out and the current is not divided but in series combination it is vice versa.

THIS IS BECAUSE AC generators use parallel combination .
and the type of circuit used in our homes is parallel because in series if one appliance is damaged the whole circuit stops working
and what principles do dc generator works on ?
it uses series combination
and the current is divided
