why are all maps drawn to scale?

if you doesnt take scale while drawing maps it will be difficult.for example ......by taking scale we can represent the 10km distance in 1cm

because this practice is derived from the common ancient cartographer . back before modern paper was invented cartigrapher is used .

Rawanbahaa9: Because you'd have to draw a round map, and there's no such thing as round paper.
