Why are all place of the earth are not equally hot?

Due to the geographical location and the orientation of the earth in a specific manner also the Earth is spherical in shape every part of the Earth receive sunlight variantly. That part of the Earth which get direct sunlight are comparatively hotter than the which get sunlight once in a while , thus we can say that all place of the earth will not equally hot.
