Amravati forest are a good example of conserved forest because local people were involved in conservative programmed to conserve the Arabari forest. Arabari forest are located in midnapore district of West Bengal. in year 1972 , the West Bengal forest department has realisation that they are failing in reviving the degraded sal forest. there were conflict between forest official and villagers. the department then change the strategy and the village were involved the department for protecting the forest land of 1.272hectare . in return the department gave the employment to the villagers in silviculture and harvesting operation. the villagers were allowed by the department for collection fuel wood and folder after paying some nominal fee . by1983 , due to active participation of villagers in this strategy of forest department. Arabari forest was recovered and the value of this forest was then R's.12.5 crores.
