Connective tissues are those which bind various tissues and organs in the body and provides them rigidity, support and protection. The bones and cartilages forms the supporting frameworks of the body.
Blood are fluid connective tissues. They transport nutrients, oxygen, vitamins and hormones etc, to the cells and remove nitrogenous wastes, CO2 and other products from the cells. Therefore, blood, bone and
cartilage are reffered to as connective tissues.
