Carbon Compounds normally do not conduct electricity owing to their covalent nature .
So,they cannot be saprated into cations and anions neither in their solid state nor in their solutions

as the carbon and its compounds are formed by covelent bond that is by sharing of electrons , no free electron is left for the conduction of electricity, thus mostly they are bad conductors of electricity,,,,,,,,I said mostly as there is a exception of graphite...
