WHY ARE CHLOROPLAST KNOWN AS KITCHEN OF THE CELL

For plant cells , it is the chloroplast . The chloroplast is responsible to carry out the process of photosynthesis , and form glucose , which serves as food for the plant. In case of animals , there is no such chloroplast present in its cell. They have a cellorganelle known as the mitochondrion. It is commonly known as the power house of the cell , as energy (from the process of kreb's cycle) in the form of Adenosene triphosphate (ATP) is stored here .
