Why are coal, minerals oil and naturals gas called fossils fuels?

because it had been formed before millions of years ago and they are non renewable source of energy...

Because coals mineral oil and natural gases are formed by dead parts of plants or animal which are not completely decomposed.Fossil fuels takes millions of years
