You must be asking about the rivers that were originated in Western Ghats. Otherwise, Arabian Sea draining rivers are not short such as Narmada and Tapti, Indus, and even Sabarmati to some extent.

Coming to other short course rivers -
Western Ghats is a continuous range right from southern Gujarat till South Kerala except at few passes like Palaghat, Bolaghat etc. And the west coast is much much narrower as compared to the Eastern coast. This makes entire orographic rainfall occurring at western side of Western Ghats to drain towards Arabian sea. Since western coast is narrow, we find rivers to be having very short course.

On the other hand, rainfall occurring at central, eastern and leeward sides of Western ghats will be drained towards east side reason being Western ghats and the Peninsular India is a East sloping landforms. There is no chance of mixing the river waters from these areas towards west flowing rivers as Western Ghats acts as a watershed.
