Why are coils of electric toasters and electric irons made of an alloy rather than a pure metal?

alloy is made up of two different metals nd they have high resistance

The coil of electric iron and toaster are made of alloy having high resistance.

But not from pure metal like copper or aluminium which have relatively very low resistance .


Since , Heat (converted from electrical energy) is given by:-

H=I^2R


So larger the residence more heat is converted from electrical energy keeping the current constant.
