To plant a dam it takes a big area so for this it leads to deforeststion so that land could be acquired and as we know that flora and fauna are inter-related if there will be no forest then where will the animals go so in tis way dams are a big threat to flora and fauna

Dams are a big threat ro flora and fauna by various reasons such as-
1. As Dams are built in rivers so they harms the flora and fauna of rivers
it stops the movement of fishes.
2.It does not provides proper nutrients over rivers to fishes n other fauna
3.It causes loss of fertility of soil which damges the fauna.
4.It is increasing in salinity of soil by reduction of floods.
5.Dams reservoirs on the flood plains submerges vegetation and soil leads to decomposition.
