⭕️Deserts occur anywhere where there is not much of rainfall.
⭕️If there are things like tall mountains or strong wind currents that prevent moist air from reaching a certain area, there won't be enough water in the air to create rainclouds, so the desert will stay dry
⭕️Deserts are areas that receives less than 10 inches (25 centimeters), of precipitation per year.
⭕️People commonly associate deserts with hot and arid locations like the Arabian Desert.
⭕️ precipitation takes the form of either rain or snow. For this reason, the poles constitute the world’s largest deserts.
⭕️The Antarctic Polar Desert covers the continent of Antarctica.
⭕️The Sahara and Chihuahuan deserts are located north of the equator.

Heya Mate !!!
▶️Because if the following reasons deserts are Dry ;-
=> Chances of rain are very low in those areas.
=> Other deserts can be attributed to more local effects, like that of terrain or geography.
=> As air is lifted over high terrain it will dry out, so you will often get something called a "rain shadow" on the other side of the mountain where you don't get much moisture.
▶️Other reasons that led to a dry desert ;-
1) Deforestation: Forests play an important role in increasing humidity. A region devoid of vegetation cover tends to be dry and hot and it soon undergoes desertification.
2) Dry winds: desert regions like Antarctica, do experience strong winds, but the winds can't get rain until and unless they pass a water body before blowing over the land.
