Why are domestic services performed by women not treated as economic activities

the domestic services performed by women's are not considered as economic activities because of two reasons -
their salary or wages are not calculated in gdp.
second they are not considered equal as to men.
they were considered inferior.

we don't have accurate and clear statistics about domestic workers as there are surplus of workers in India. And also it will not contribute towards the national income
