Aluminum is a good conductor of heat, therefore when we wrap hot food in the aluminum foil it keep the food warm. Aluminium on reaction with oxygen forms a layer of Al2O3which renders the metal passive and protects it from further reaction. Hence it is not harmfulfor us.

Because when aluminum comes in contact with air it forms a coating called aluminum oxide, which helps food materials from giving foul smell..
