In China ,only one party is allowed to control and run the Government. These are called one-party systems. In China, only the communist party is allowed to rule. Although legally ,people are free to form political parties , it does not happen because the electoral system does not permit free competition for power. We cannot consider this system a good option because this Is not a democratic option. Any democratic system must allow at least two parties to compete in elections and provide a fair chance for competing parties to come to power.
Thus election is not held in a free and fair manner.

Answer:
The election in China is not free and fair because:-
- In China, after every five years election are held to elect the parliament of Country called Quanguo Renmin Diabio Dahui ( National People's Congress)
- The power to appoint the president rests in the hand of National People's Congress
- The National People's Congress consists of nearly 3000 members which are elected from all over China
- The army of China have got extra political power to select some members to the Chinese Communist party
- A candidate can stand in a election if he/she has the approval of Chinese Communist party
- Only the members belonging from Chinese Communist party or the eight allied parties were allowed to contest in elections
