equatorial forest are known as evergreen forest because they get the maximum heat from the sun and  heavy rain as well . as there is no particular  dry season the trees do not shed their leaves . some eg of trees which are found in these forests are ebony and rosewood

Equatorial/Tropical evergreen forest: this forest are found both sides of the equator 10 degree north and 10 degrees South latitude main areas are zaire basinin Africa, Amazon basin in South America and few islands in the south cast Asia . thesethese areas receive heavy rainfall throughout the year and the temperature remains very high this forest remain green throughout the year the trees are very tall main trees found in this areas are ebony ,rubber, mahogany, Rosewood, etc
