Why are etchings found on the glass jar when distilled water is kept in it ?

Hloo dear....
Water is a universal solvent.It has a high dielectric constant.
The substances which r insoluble in water actually dissolve in it in traces.
When distilled water is kept in a sealed glass bottle,a vry small amount of glass dissolves in d water leaving etchings on d glass surface.
