For decreasing friction, and increasing speed

hi friend...
their streamlined shape cuts through air very easily and thus increased their speed.
.. therefore their shape is made streamlined
.in racing cars... aeroplanes... motorboats (to cut through water...). helicopters...etc The streamlined shape is given to ships in water and aeroplanes in the air to reduce the fluid friction.
The special shape given to the bodies moving in the fluids like ships in water and aeroplanes in the air to reduce the fluid friction is called streamlined shape.
Since airplanes fly at high speed and do not ride on wheels, friction with the air is the main factor in fuel consumption. The faster the aircraft is designed to fly, the more streamlined it tends to be. It becomes a serious issue at supersonic speeds.
HOPE THIS HELPS YOU...
