Why are fuses always connected in the live wire?

It is so Because current starts to flow first in live wire so fuses is connected in that if there will be large amount of current will pass then it will break the connected wire to prevent from overloading..thus it is so..

The main and only function of the fuse is to prevent the overflow of the current so that the electric components are not damaged.

Fuse is connected to the live wire because if the current in the live wire becomes more than required then the fuse will break thus breaking the circuit and stopping the current flow.
