Why are gold and Platinum are used for making jewellery

Gold and platinum are non - reactive and very less reactive.....They don't react with oxygen like iron and don't cause corrosion...
They are also lustrous and rarely found.... They can be beaten into thin sheet.... Gold can make the most thin sheet ..... Because of this property of gold and platinum they can be converted into very designer jewellery
