why are haloalkanes more reactive than haloarenes

Haloarenes are very much less reactive than haloalkanes towards nucleophilic substitution reactions. ... Well, there are multiple reason for haloarenes being less reactive. 1) There are more electrons in haloarenes because of the existence of the "n bonds" this is why they seems to repel the nucleophilic attack .
