why are handles of utensils made from wood or plastics?

it's very easy because to prevent from burning. Because all the utensils are good conductor of heat so it conductive heat from whole utensils. but handles are made with bad conductor of heat...so we prevent injuries due to heat

the handles of cooking utensils are made up of wood or plastic . it is because it is a insulator or doesn't allow heat and electricity to pass out
