Mostly utensils are made of metals and their handles are too made from mostly metals. If we touched them in warm condition, we know that metals are good conductor of heat and we get extremely heat. That's why to prevent this, handles are made of wood and plastic because they are bad conductors of heat so we can handle utensils even it hot condition

Utensils are made up of metals like steel, copper, aluminum etc.

Because they are good conductors of heat so it is easy to cook food in it. But the handles cannot be made by same metal as metal is a good conductor of heat so when we cook food, the handle will also be hot and it will not be comfortable to hold the utensils.

Therefore, the handle is made of wood or plastic as they are insulators and will not become hot while heating.
