why are Himalayan rivers perennial in nature

Himalayan rivers are provided with water by the Himalayan mountains. Since the Himalaya mountains are always covered with snow the rivers are provided with countinuos supply of water. Even in summer, the rivers are supplied by water because of the melting of snow (the amount of snow is so much that it doesn't melt even in summer).
