Household wires are covered with plastic or rubber because if a person is wet or his hands are wet then he or she has a chance of getting the electric shock or current if he touche s the wire not covered with plastic or rubber or if he or she has not wear any type of rubber,wood or plastic and electricity can also damage the brain or body of anybody if there will be a continuous flow of current.
