Why are large number of stomata are present at the lower surface of the dicotyledonous leaves in the terrestrial planets?

All surfaces of leaves have some amount of stomata for regulation gas exchange for photosynthesis. However the lower epidermis that is the underside of the leaf has more stomata because it is more often In The Shade and so it is cooler which means evaporation doesn't take place as much.
