in liquids and gases, the inter molecular space is large and the inter molecular force of attraction is less.because of this the atoms of liquids and gases can move.they are so called fluids.

Explanation:
Fluids are the material which can flow from one place to another.
Since, it is known that in liquids the molecules are held together by less strong intermolecular forces of attraction as compared to solids and in gases, the molecules are held by weak Vander waal forces.
Therefore, the molecules of both liquid and gases can move freely as a result, they are also called fluids.
