Lysosomes are vascular cell-organelles which contain hydrolytic enzymes. Whenever a cell or cell-organelle gets worn out or malfunctioned, lysosome secretes the enzyme into the cell, which destroys the useless cells. Hence lysosomes are called suicidal bags.
