Tidal Forests

They are also known as mangrove forests. They are located in the deltaic regions of the eastern coast of India. The largest mangrove forest lies in the Sundarban delta in West Bengal. These luxuriant forests are well adapted to the saline waters of the inter-tidal zones of the eastern coast. The trees in this region have stilt roots. The sundari tree is the most common tree found here.

hope it helps .
