- Sometimes metals are electroplated to get the premium metal's lustre on a very cheap metal. For example sometimes gold is electroplated on a other metal, so that the jwellery looks awesome. But inside it a cheap metal, from outside it looks like the whole jwellery of made of gold.
- Iron gets rusted easily, but by electroplating another metal over iron the object can be used for more time as iron inside will not be rusted
