Metals can easily lose electron these free electrons can conduct electricity in them.thats why they are good conductors of electricity.
While glass is an insulator.it cant conduct electricity as it has no free elctrons.

Metals are the good conductor of electricity because it have free electrons. Whereas glass don't have free electron so it don't conduct electricity.
