Non renewable resources are those resources which cannot be used again and again in a short span of time. Fossil Fuels are formed in a million years and called as non renewable resources.  The supply of minerals is limited in quantity.  Once minerals are taken out of the earth they cannot be restored after consumption.

Answer:

Non-renewable resources are those resources which formed after millions of years. They can be exhausted or depleted after a particular period of time. Minerals are non-renewable as these take millions of years to form and once exhausted, these would not be available for geological ages.
