it is because when the angle between two Mirrors is reduced they came close and the reflection of one mirror falls on other so the number of images increases as we know that number of images formed is directly dependent on the angle between the two Mirrors so due to the reflection from the mirror it does happens

More images are formed when the angle between two mirrors is reduced because the number of images formed is inversely proportional to the angle between mirrors . As the angle between mirrors reduces then number of reflection increases and number of images are increased.
