1.The monuments of Medieval India are far more numerous than those of the ancient India and by studying these monuments once can get of the political situation and architecture of a period.
2.Medieval period saw the rise in the number of historical writings.Tabaqut-i-Nasiri was written by Minhaj-ud-din Siraj, Fatuah-us-Salatin by lsami.
3.Medieval period saw the rise in number of autobiographies.Firoz Shah Tughluq wrote his biographie called Fatuhat-i-Firoz Sahi. Sultan Mahmud,Babur,Jahangir and Timur had their own biographies.
