why are nails broader at the top and narrower at the bottom​

Answer:

Nail is narrow at one end so that we can easily pierce it into the board with less pressure. The other end is broader so that we don't get hurt while trying to insert the nailinto an object.

Answer:

as the narrow zone applies more pressure and the broader zone applies less pressure. when u apply pressure on the broader zone through hammer ,less force is applied but the narrower zone applies more pressure on wall so that it could go in.
