why are nitrogenous fertilizers not added in the soil in which leguminous plants grow? ​

because leguminious plants contains rhizobium in it which converts harmful nitrogen into useful nitrogen

hence, it has rhizobium as a nitrogen

Hi there! The answer to your question is -

This happens because the nitrogen fixation process is carried out by the bacteria(rhizobium) present in the root nodules of leguminous plants and because of this, there is plenty of nitrogen at the plant's bay.Hence, the plant needs no more nitrogenous fertilizer because the work of a fertilizer is to make the soil rich in specific nutrient(s).
