Why are object moving through fluid given special shapes what is the name given of their special shapes

Fluids exert drag on the solids moving through them, which is somewhat like friction that tries to oppose the motion of the body and slows it down. Hence, streamlined shape is given to the bodies moving through fluids, as in ships and submaries. Even the paperboats we make in rainy season to play with, have a streamlined shaped i.e. tapered at ends.
