the peninsular rivers of india are seasonal in nature due to the following reasons
there is no high mountains with snow due to which there is no water from melting of snow
the rivers therefore depend on annual rainfall which occurs heavely only during the monsoon times
also during dry months there is no rainfall to feed the river
