The baby boomers in the 1940s were the first to be dressed in the sex-specific clothing that we are familiar with today. Back then, boys and girls were dressed in blue and pink respectively.

By confining men and women to limiting gender stereotypes, we are missing out on much amazing stuff. Pink, in this case, is a badge of shame in the color coding of socially undesirable boys or men. We immediately assume that the male is signaling his sexual or gender identity. Girls or women wearing are considered "tomboys" or are assumed to have lost their "feminity".

Little judgments like these affect the mindset of the young. It can even result in low self-esteem and social anxiety. We need to stop judging people on their choices of colours.
