why are plastics considered environment non friendly

Since plastics being polymers of heavier molecular weight its difficult for the environment to degrade it biologically… it accan only b recycled… but good awareness is required among ppl about its recyclability.. if there are proper measures to recycle every plastic which is being used then u can not say that plastic is not friendly
