1.Public facilities include health care facilities, toilets facilities, courts, parks,gardens, sports ground, community centre, subway, footpath, bus services etc.
2. These all facilities are important for maintenance of law and order, cleanliness, quality of life,access and comfort to common man.
3.Public facilities help in the development of all strata of people in one way or another.Poor children are provided with school facilities, poor people with health care,parks, garden and community halls for the community people etc.
4.This help in bringing up the people and giving them opportunities of which they are otherwise devoid.
5.Public services gives chance and opportunities to all the people of society and help in their upbringing, development and improvement of quality of life.
6.Thus wellbeing of people will automatically help in the wellbeing and development of nation.
Some of the public facilities are:
1.Health care- Government provides hospitals,dispensaries,medicines,doctors etc to common people at very minimum charges.It helps even poor people to access the facilities of hospitals at the time of emergency.
2.Transport- The availability of road, railways and public transport etc. has made life easy and comfortable for the people.People can easily travel to any part of the nation, state or city at affordable rates.
3.Banking- It provides the facility of safe option of money saving and getting loan. Illiterate people who used to become victims of money lenders, now live a safe and secure life.People can take loan for education, house, cars etc. without much hassle and very high interest rate.
4.Parks and Gardens-The parks and gardens provide a open space for children to play safely and people to take walk, exercise and have some recreational activities.It brings qualitative changes in people life.

Public facilities help to create a sense of unity in the public. It helps many people right at the same time. for eg. a public bus carries around 50 people at the same time which gives us a motivation to work in a united manner.
