Rivers have been of fundamental importance throughout the human history. Water from the rivers is a basic natural resource, essential for various human activities. The river banks have attracted settlers from ancient times. These settlements have also become big cities. that is why rivers are considered the life lines of human civilisation.

river considered to be the life line of human civilization because if there was no river there would be shortage of water in early life the early man also lived by the river side to get water for their agricultural purpose and water from river is purest form of water and in aboriginal areas river is the only source of their life and in now days the water of river is not pure due to pollution and in some areas like
Rajasthan there is shortage of water. In nowadays the sources of water are emptying due to global warming and from a hole in ozone layer so there is lack of water, hence water is the life line of human civilization and save water please.
